Our Story

Hi, I’m Jessica Jaber—owner and grower here at Shady Lady Acres in Eldorado, Wisconsin. I’m a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran who found healing in an unexpected place: the flower field. After years of struggling to find peace after war, I discovered that nurturing beauty from tiny seeds gave me purpose—and grounded me in something good.

I don’t do this alone. The strength behind the scenes is my husband, Mark—an Army veteran who shares my love for the land and this life we’re building together. My daughter, Savannah, is a bit allergic to manual labor but does enjoy helping at the farmers market - wrapping bouquet bar flowers for customers. And keeping us organized and on track is my mom, Mary—she’s the one making sure all the details get done and nothing gets overlooked. It truly is a family effort.

At Shady Lady Acres, we’re deeply committed to sustainable, ethical growing practices. From familiar favorites like tulips and snapdragons to rare and unexpected blooms, we cultivate flowers that are as vibrant and resilient as the soil they’re rooted in.

We believe in the power of local. When you choose farm-grown flowers, you support small business, reduce environmental impact, and bring home blooms that are fresher, more fragrant, and more meaningful.

We offer:
